Filming in Everest

'Everest' (2015) was filmed in Nepal, Italy, Rome, and London. The movie was based on the true account of climbers who perished in the worst calamity to ever occur on Everest—a violent storm—in 1996. The 44-person crew touched down in Nepal on January 12 and stayed in Kathmandu. From January 9 to 23 they could shoot with permission. Later, on January 13, 2014, Everest filming started.0 The filmmakers chose less intimidating peaks to represent the tallest mountain due to difficulties with climate, weather, and the torturous lack of oxygen at Everest's heights because the movie was physically demanding and had unpredictable weather.1 Journalist Jon Krakauer, who made it through the disastrous 1996 Everest expedition
