Location Scouting in Nepal

In the pre-production phase of filmmaking and commercial photography, location scouting is a crucial step. The hunt for an appropriate setting or "location" outside the studio starts once the scriptwriters, producers, or directors have established what broad type of scenery they require for the various parts of their work shot outside the studio. To maintain a database of sites in case of requests, location scouts also hunt for generally exceptional or fascinating locales in advance.

Locating locations for the shooting of advertisements, TV shows, or movies is known as location scouting in the film industry. A location manager (or scout) looks for indoor or outdoor locations to use as the backdrop for scripted scenes. A crucial step in the preproduction process is location reconnaissance. Location research is essential.
