Simon expressed his intention to create a film that brings joy and happiness, citing his initial connection with Nepal through a fundraising concert for the 2015 earthquake victims.

Acknowledging the global film industry's struggles amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, Simon hopes 'Digbi' will contribute to promoting tourism in Nepal. Unlike blockbuster franchises like James Bond and Jurassic Park, he aims to convey spirituality and social messages through his film, emphasizing meaningful storytelling over visual effects.

Highlighting the film's essence, Simon described it as the journey of a European nomad seeking spirituality and the true meaning of life in Nepal. The narrative revolves around the transformative encounter between the protagonist 'Pavel' and a child playing the 'sarangi.' The casting for the lead role of 'Digbi' is soon to commence, as confirmed by Simon. Nepali line producers Digbijay Bharti and Suresh Adhikari assured the inclusion of a Nepali team in the production, emphasizing the film's universal appeal.

With plans to commence production in March, the film will showcase Kathmandu's tourist heritage and attractions, aiming to resonate globally. Nepal Film Production Pvt. Ltd., spearheading this project, expressed intentions to engage in further international collaborations to promote Nepal's tourism. Digbijay Bharti, the company's manager, highlighted the film's potential to positively impact Nepal's tourism sector.
